How it works

Rules first, then personalisation, then a weekly review.

Ayush builds your plan with clear, checkable rules drawn from published guidelines. Safety checks run before anything else, and every rule shows its source.

From sign-up to your first checklist

  1. Create your Health ID

Mobile OTP, email OTP, Google or Apple. Under-18s need a parent or guardian's verified consent.

  2. Answer eight short sections

Basics, conditions, optional reports, lifestyle, food, fitness, goals and consent. Progress saves as you go.

  3. Safety screen

Current emergency symptoms stop onboarding and show emergency numbers. Pregnancy, recent surgery, hernia and similar flags change which exercises and poses you get.

  4. Plan built

Diet targets, a 7-day menu, an exercise week, a yoga sequence, a sleep window and daily mind practices, merged into one timed checklist.

The plan engine

Three layers, in a fixed order

The order matters. AI never decides what is safe for you; it only explains and rewords what the rules have already decided.

1. Safety checks

  • Emergency symptoms and very high or low readings route to a doctor or to 112
  • Contraindicated poses and exercises are removed with the reason shown
  • No calorie cutting for teens or during pregnancy
  • Medicines are never mentioned as something to change

2. Evidence rules

  • Each rule carries tags pointing to its sources, such as WHO, ICMR–NIN or the 2025 AHA/ACC BP guideline
  • Targets come from your measurements, using Asian BMI and waist cut-offs
  • Meals are scored for your cuisine, diet type, allergies and conditions
  • Clinicians review and sign off every rule before release

3. Personalisation

  • Plain-language explanations of your plan
  • Schedules fitted around your work, commute and shifts
  • Coaching chat that answers within the rules
  • Off unless you switch on AI coaching in your consent settings

How Ayush responds to readings and symptoms

Thresholds follow published guidance and are reviewed by clinicians. Ayush never tells you a reading is "fine" when it isn't.

You logAyush shows
Chest pain, severe breathlessness, fainting, signs of stroke, sudden severe headache, confusionEmergency Call 112 or 108 now, with emergency numbers on screen
Thoughts of harming yourselfCrisis support Call 112 if in danger; Tele-MANAS 14416 for free, confidential support at any hour
Blood pressure 180/120 or higherUrgent Re-check after 5 minutes; contact your doctor today; call 112 if symptoms appear
Blood sugar below 70 mg/dL (below 54 is very low)Urgent Follow your doctor's low-sugar plan; get help if confused or unable to swallow
Blood sugar 300 mg/dL or higherUrgent Contact your doctor today; emergency care if vomiting, drowsy or breathing fast
Resting pulse below 40 or above 120Urgent Rest and re-check; seek help if it persists or with symptoms
Readings rising for two weeks, or progress stalledReview Suggest a doctor visit and share the report

BP alerts use upper-arm cuff readings only. The 2025 AHA/ACC guideline does not recommend cuffless watches or rings for clinical BP decisions.

After your goal

Maintenance, not a finish line

Most health gains fade when a plan simply stops. Maintenance keeps what worked with less effort.

  • Calories return to your estimated needs
  • Activity stays at 150 minutes or more a week
  • Monthly check-ins and a full re-assessment every 3 months
  • If readings drift back for two weeks, Ayush suggests restarting the active plan
